MAIN OFFICE OF THE
CALIFORNIA PERFUME COMPANY
114 FIFTH AVENUE, NEW YORK CITY |

Before introducing you to President McConnell
and the other officers let us give you a brief history of the California
Perfume Company so that you can see the gigantic strides that have been
made in the forty-two years of its existence.
The California Perfume Company was
organized in 1886 by David H. McConnell, then as now its president. In
striking contrast to the spacious offices of today was the single room,
about 20 by 25 feet, at 126 Chambers Street, New York City, which then
served as both office and factory. Within a few years, however, the
business developed so rapidly that six entire floors were necessary to
take care of it.
As the CPC idea spread and business
continued to grow, these six floors soon became inadequate and in 1909 the
offices were moved to larger quarters at 31 Park Place. But once again
more space was needed and in 1926 this address, so long familiar to many
of our representatives, was abandoned for the present location at 114
Fifth Avenue, New York City.

The executive offices of the California
Perfume Company are located on America's most fashionable thoroughfare - a
few blocks south of the famous Flatiron Building and within sight of the
historic Washington Arch.
