Reproduction of the
1900s Sweet Cologne Perfume

In honor of Avon's 75th Anniversary (1961), reproductions as those shown immediately above, were fabricated and distributed for display in branch headquarters around the globe. Consequently, the reproductions were also later used for commemorating the company's lustrous product history, as well as providing beautiful pictures for Avon Representatives' material and customer catalogs. For example, the Reproduction Depot Agents' Demonstration Case (above left) was the featured picture for the month of August in the 1979 President's Club Award Calendar. Though Avon maintained fairly tight control on these reproductions, some items did find there way into the marketplace. If they can be found, these extremely rare treasures command a pretty hefty price!

The left-most cabinet was set up to represent the earliest product period of the California Perfume Company.
The reproductions, from left to right, are six one ounce perfume bottles (like the Extract of Heliotrope shown
at the top right), a Cold Cream jar, a Shampoo Cream jar, and a four ounce bottle of Bay Rum.
